Job Title: Housekeeper

Summary: Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for the residents by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1) Make residents’ beds daily on assigned wing.
2) Empty trash in residents’ rooms.
3) Clean residents’ bathrooms daily.
4) Dust and vacuum residents’ rooms at least once a week or more frequently if necessary.
5) Clean public bathrooms.
6) Vacuum carpeting in hallways.
7) Change bedding at least once a week or more frequently if necessary.
8) Assist with laundry.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
